Where the data will live

SQLite lives in a single file and asks for nothing. MySQL needs a server, and suits a site served by several machines.

SQLite recommended A file kept outside the web root. Nothing to install, nothing to administer; a backup is a copy. MySQL / MariaDB An existing database, to be created before you go on. The wizard tries it before committing to it.
